About Australia:

Australia is located in the southern hemisphere below Asia, above Antarctica and in between the Indian and Pacific Oceans.

Australia is the smallest continent and the largest island. Australia is roughly equal to the area of the USA. Our population is about 18 million, with most of the population gathered in the major cities of Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Hobart, Adelaide, Perth, Darwin & Brisbane. Most urban areas are located on the coast, as most of Australia is semi arid to desert.

Because of the large distances involved with travelling here, Australia’s relative isolation has created a more secure environment, making it an attractive destination for travellers and business investment.

Culturally, Australia is a diverse community drawn from many regions around the world. Our multiculturalism is reflected in food, fashion, politics and world outlook.

Gay communities can be found in all of the major cities however rural areas still have issues of acceptance & tolerance.

Australia is a developed economy featuring most aspects of primary industry, industrial development and IT development. Australia sponsors a great deal of scientific research and leads the world in many health areas, specifically heart research & cancer research.

Australia is also a popular destination for students from China, Japan and other Asian countries to continue their studies in commerce, politics and language.

There is much to do for visiting tourists. From the great barrier reef which is one of the world’s longest reefs, Uluru a large monolith set in Australia’s central desert region, the world heritage listed Kakadu National Park, Sydney Harbour with its bridge and Opera House, Melbourne renowned for its food and fashion, the natural wilderness of Tasmania and even the chance of swimming with the world’s largest sharks off the coast of Western Australia.

6PC invites all members to drop us a line for more info and offers a welcome to all visitors.

Meetings:

Our event schedule aims to have regular get-togethers in each of the major city centres. These meetings often occur at a café or someone’s house. The CoCo makes every effort possible to connect people through personal introductions based on member requests, industry, location and business opportunities as they arise.
